Reminder:
Aged-out Foster Children Tell It Like It Is on June 8
Amber Valetta, Patricia Heaton, Plus Antwone Fisher!
Dear {{MediaContactFirstName}},
This is a reminder of your invitation to attend the informal discussions with Amber Valletta, Patricia Heaton, Antwone Fisher, and foster youth on June 8 at Hillsides in Pasadena. This open discussion will humanize the shocking foster child statistics and provide important information about aged-out (emancipated) foster youth in our community. Antwone is a success, a man who has survived the foster ordeal. He can tell us about the support he needed and received as he pushed ahead to build his life.
Come to Hillsides, the Pasadena-based residential and community treatment center for troubled children, on June 8. You'll learn just how vital such services are to children who have been "aged out" of the foster child system.
Eighteen-year-old children are not ready to live independently and successfully with no lifelines. Listen to them speak:
June 8
10:00 - 11:30 am
